Alan Minter was the reigning middleweight champion of the world until he met ‘marvelous’ Marvin Hagler at Wembley. Hagler destroyed Alan with 3 rounds but the fight will be forever remembered for the fans reaction to Minter’s defeat with chairs and bottles thrown into the ring.

Despite this defeat to one of the greatest middleweights of all-time, Minter was a fine champion and part of the British boxing Hall of Fame.
